AM LIT: How did creating your own origin myth help you better understand why cultures use stories to explain the origins of people, places, traditions, or natural events?

It helps me understand that people will not always save their stories in a book. Some people might pass on the information like the Navajo tribe. This gives the story a new perspective from each person and makes it change over time. This can be bad but also good because it moves from what was originally told but also gives the idea that each person has a different point of view and uses their imagination differently.

Summary: The understanding of each culture is important to know how they interact with their environment and most important to respect their culture and beliefs. Most origin myths have connections to things like the bible or creatures and characters like poseidon and other characters from different cultures or myths.

Reflection: I understand that not everyone has the same beliefs and view the world from different perspectives.
