MULTI LIT: Reflect on a time when you discovered a new perspective that completely changed how you viewed a person, group, or place. How did your previous “single story” shape your thoughts or actions?

I used to think that every people that spoke Spanish was from Central America. At the time I was 10 years old, but I remember that people started to tell me how to differentiate accents. They also teach me that it wasn’t good to think or judge a person for how they looked of for how they speak.

Reflection: We don’t have to judge a person for how they dress, how they look, or how they speak. Because this only creates stereotypes and makes us create mask for others based on how we look at them.

Summary: Learn from people before you judge them.
