Write about a meaningful object or place in your life that carries a story.

 An object that carries a meaningful story is my guitar, I was gifted that guitar when i was 8 and was with me until 2 years ago, that guitar teach me how to have patience whenever things aren't working out, how to fix a bad situation and make it some what better. That guitar meant a lot to me and even though my parents sold it because it was old it carried my story and my worst and best moments.


Summary: The Navajo Story tries to make you understand and learn on how their tribe was form. The story focus on begochiddy "the child of the sun" and how he tries to find the perfect world for his creatures ( the navajo). He and his creatures travel across four worlds and on each one there is a problem or issue and his solution is to move and protect his creatures. At the end the fourth world is peaceful and even if its not beautiful it still better and here is where his creatures settle.


Reflection: The story is a refrence to several beliefs and other entities, but the greatest one is to the bible like how they mention the darkness of the first world ( the void and darkness before anything was created) the first men and woman ( Adan and Eve), then its a the flooding like the 40 days and 40 nights that rain.

Reading it aloud at the gathering was nerve-wracking, but seeing my friend’s eyes well up (and hearing a few chuckles at the inside jokes) made all the wrestling with words completely worth it. MULTI LIT: Today, we started our discussion about culture and food. What is one dish from your culture that is a must-have as a representation of your culture? Identify the dish and explain what it is and why it is significant.

For my culture dish I choose  paella , which is this huge rice dish from Valencia, Spain.  It’s basically made with saffron rice and traditionally cooked outside over an open fire in a massive flat pan called a paellera. It’s a perfect symbol for us because it’s historic and also represents how our culture is all about family and sharing. Summary: Paella actually started out as just a cheap, basic lunch for farmers who threw in whatever they had like short-grain rice, chicken, rabbit, and veggies. Everything cooks together in one pan until the rice turns bright yellow from the saffron. Reflection: I chose  paella  because it’s honestly way more than just a random meal, it’s like a whole Sunday event for families kinda like a cook-out here in America. Everyone just hangs out and catches up for hours while it cooks, and then you usually eat it right out of the pan together. It just makes me feel really connected to my roots.
