Multi lit: After watching your classmates present their identity masks, think about how people are often more complex than what we see on the outside. What did the presentations teach you about looking beyond the surface when getting to know someone?

It teach me that you don’t always have to make assumptions or stereotype someone because we don’t really know if they are actually like that for example one of my classmates. I didn’t knew that they like rock climbing and at one point in my head, I thought oh he probably likes cars and motorcycles just for the what he talks about and what he posts online. It also teach me that people might like same interest, but they just don’t tell you.

Reflection: People might hide who they really are just to get a sense of belonging with others.

Summary: It’s OK to wear mask just to connect with others and to feel like you belong with them.
