 Something I can Say is that once you cheat on someone doesn’t matter if it’s your friend, your partner that trust in that relationship will never be the same. They will not trust you or see you with the same eyes they did before it’s gonna be difficult because They trusted you with a lot of things in one single mistake such as cheating or telling a secret about them that they only trusted you or just a small group of people can make the difference. Because people will trust you, but once you hurt them, it’s really hard to impossible to gain that trust back because they will not tell you the same things. They will not tell you their secrets because they will be afraid of you doing the same mistake or hurt them again.


Reflection: Trust is a very fine and thin strand, which can be broken or snap with anything you do or say.


Summary: trust people if you know them very well if you know things that they only told you that way you can defend yourself in case they tell things about you, but don’t always tell your most secret things or thoughts.

AM LIT: Talk about a time when you had to write a poem, whether it was for an assignment, event, or special occasion. What was the writing process like for you, and were you proud of the finished product?

Reading it aloud at the gathering was nerve-wracking, but seeing my friend’s eyes well up (and hearing a few chuckles at the inside jokes) made all the wrestling with words completely worth it. MULTI LIT: Today, we started our discussion about culture and food. What is one dish from your culture that is a must-have as a representation of your culture? Identify the dish and explain what it is and why it is significant.

For my culture dish I choose  paella , which is this huge rice dish from Valencia, Spain.  It’s basically made with saffron rice and traditionally cooked outside over an open fire in a massive flat pan called a paellera. It’s a perfect symbol for us because it’s historic and also represents how our culture is all about family and sharing. Summary: Paella actually started out as just a cheap, basic lunch for farmers who threw in whatever they had like short-grain rice, chicken, rabbit, and veggies. Everything cooks together in one pan until the rice turns bright yellow from the saffron. Reflection: I chose  paella  because it’s honestly way more than just a random meal, it’s like a whole Sunday event for families kinda like a cook-out here in America. Everyone just hangs out and catches up for hours while it cooks, and then you usually eat it right out of the pan together. It just makes me feel really connected to my roots.
